Sloan, you just burned up the pages with this lovely story and I enjoyed it immensely. You made it drawn out, but in a good way Sloan. Very well done Sloan and my hat is off to you for an amazing job very well done. Thank you so much for sharing it on here. Of course I will share it on some different sites to help you get more readers I hope anyway. Much love with Hugs. 🫂🫂🫂
You have such an intensity, such a fire in your words. So beautifully sad to feel these emotions. Such love and power that you express. And so much loneliness. You do have a gift! Thank you for sharing. 💛
Wow Sloan, this one was hard really hard. I don’t have another one right now. The only one I keep thinking about is the one like you. The one who said she had infinite patience for me. The one who said she would wait forever for me. And the one who on a dark December day, decided she couldn’t because something in her said that it would cost her too much of her younger years. And I really meant it. I had to wait for one last child to grow up and she always agreed with me that I needed to. And despite it all, I lost her anyway…she was the woman in your story and I don’t know anything about how she is now and I would still talk to her every day, but she hasn’t responded lately. I hope she’s not alone. I hope there is a hand on her that treats her with the reverent respect she deserves, but I still call her name every night when I’m truly alone in the house or any other place I talk to her. I ask her to hear my voice. I hope that sometimes she still does.

I’m happy my words resonated with you. This is such a beautiful reply. I feel your love and pain come through every word. I’m speechless.
Well, then I am truly amazed, as speechless is something you never are!
So well written. I hung on every turn.
Thank you, David!
